Multi-layer Acoustic Structure: Block Noise Transmission at the Source

Discarding weaknesses of single acoustic materials, this sound insulation panel adopts a multi-layer acoustic structure: top finishing layer, sealing damping layer, honeycomb core, filled damping particles and bottom layer. Noise and vibration are reduced layer by layer, resolving both airborne sound and structural resonance, with acoustic performance superior to conventional sound boards.

1.      High-strength honeycomb core: Stable base for sound insulation
The core features regularly arranged circular honeycomb cells. This bionic honeycomb structure delivers outstanding mechanical stability and acoustic buffering. It disperses sound wave impact and blocks airborne noise penetration. Meanwhile, the honeycomb skeleton provides strong support, enabling the thin panel to withstand high pressure and deformation. It avoids common defects of ordinary acoustic boards such as soft texture, collapse risk and short service life, balancing structural strength and basic sound insulation.

2.      Filled high-density damping particles: Fine-grained sound absorption
The honeycomb cavities are filled with eco-friendly high-density damping particles. Countless tiny acoustic cavities are formed to absorb medium and high-frequency noise, weaken sound reflection and superposition, eliminate echoes and ambient clutter for a purer acoustic environment.

3.      High-density damping layer: Stop structural resonance transmission
A dedicated high-density damping layer is added as an extra shock-absorbing layer. It efficiently absorbs and offsets low-frequency noise generated by building vibration, suppressing structure-borne resonance at the source. Traditional sound boards only block airborne noise and fail against low-frequency vibration. The butyl rubber damping layer fills this gap and realizes full-frequency noise filtering.

Verified Acoustic Performance: Excellent Noise Control within Slim Thickness

Simulation tests prove this exploratory honeycomb damping panel achieves 20dB overall noise reduction, effectively isolating human voices, equipment noise, ambient sounds and low-frequency vibration.

Traditional solid walls are generally over 100mm thick, occupying much indoor space with complicated installation and high costs. Our experimental panel is merely around 20mm thick — less than one quarter of the solid wall thickness — while maintaining reliable sound insulation.

The panel density is about 500kg/m³, similar to dense timber, yet its acoustic performance surpasses wood of the same density. Lightweight and easy to handle, cut and install, it requires no complicated civil works.
